Reception of radio programmes

Two Finnish radio broadcasters have coverage areas that cover almost the entire population: the Finnish Broadcasting Company (YLE) and Radio Nova. Their distribution is based on high transmission power and transmitting antennas mounted on high masts. Finland also has 11 radio networks with relatively extensive coverage. The networks reach 25–86% of the population. Regional or local licences have been granted to 51 radio stations.
