Promoting competition

Competition in the communications markets is promoted through regulation of significant market power (SMP). The objective of SMP regulation is to ensure that communications networks and communications services are available on reasonable conditions to all telecommunications operators and users throughout the country. Reasonable and fair pricing of communications networks is a prerequisite for the market entrance of telecommunications operators providing new services.
