The Postal Act contains a quality standard for the so-called first-class and second-class letters delivered by Posti Ltd. At least 80% of first-class letters must arrive on the first weekday following the day when they have been deposited. Of second-class letters, 95% must arrive no later than on the second weekday after the date of deposit and 98% no later than the third weekday.
The statistics indicate the percentage of the first-class and second-class letters that have been delivered within the time limits presented in the figure after the date of deposit. The extent of implementation of the quality standard is monitored annually but Posti Ltd. provides FICORA with information on the delivery speed of letters twice a year.
