There are more than 1.5 million cable TV subscriptions in Finland. The number of IPTV subscriptions has grown extensively in recent years but the growth decelerated during the first part of 2015.
At the end of June 2015, Finland had more than 1.5 million cable TV subscriptions and nearly 380,000 IPTV subscriptions. The number of cable TV subscriptions increased by 8,000 during the first half, showing a growth of 0.5 per cent from the end of last year. IPTV subscriptions are mainly similar to cable TV subscriptions but they receive TV broadcasting through an internet connection. During the first half of the year, the number of IPTV subscriptions increased by more than 3 per cent or more than 10,000 subscriptions. In recent years, the number of IPTV subscriptions has increased by more than 10 per cent every six months. Therefore, the growth seems to have decelerated, and the number of subscriptions is not increasing at the pace of previous years. In general, the increase in cable TV subscriptions has been moderate in recent years, i.e. no more than a few percent every six months. Save the graph data as a CSV file
