GPS repeaters and satellite earth stations

A GPS repeater is a combination of a radio receiver and a radio transmitter. It is used for transmitting GPS signals to locations where signals from GPS satellites cannot be received. GPS repeaters require a radio licence. Transmitting earth stations also require a licence from FICORA, unless they have separately been exempted from licensing. The possession and use of receive-only earth stations do not require a radio licence in Finland.
