Common channels by frequency band (tx=rx):

Group 1 (5 channels)Group 2 (4 channels)Group 3 (4 channels)
430.025 MHz 430.150 MHz 430.300 MHz
430.050 MHz 430.200 MHz 430.325 MHz

In order to operate a transmitter on these channels, a radio licence granted by FICORA is required. Following principles are followed when FICORA grants a licence on these channels:

  • the channels are intended to be used only for business and professional communications,
  • the right to use the channels included all the channels of the particular group (1, 2 or 3) and covers whole Finland
  • on the channels it is allowed to use only mobile transmitters which comply with all relevant requirements

Group 1

  • the channels are common channels which can be used only for data transmission including transmitting a DGNSS correction signal,
  • the maximum allowed radiated power for transmitters on these channels is 0.5 W (ERP) and the allowed channel width is either 12.5 kHz or 25 kHz.

Group 2

  • the channels are common channels which can be used only for transmitting a DGNSS correction signal and for sales demonstration of data transmission systems,
  • the maximum allowed radiated power for transmitters on these channels is 10 W (ERP) and the allowed channel width is either 12.5 kHz or 25 kHz.

Group 3

  • the channels are common channels which can be used only for data transmission including transmitting a DGNSS correction signal,
  • the maximum allowed radiated power for transmitters on these channels is 10 W (ERP) and the allowed channel width is either 12.5 kHz or 25 kHz.
