Radio equipment subject to licence

FICORA assigns to radio equipment users frequencies that suit their needs as well as possible and are sufficiently interference-free. The main means of guiding spectrum use is a licence that entitles its holder to possess and use a radio transmitter.

All radio equipment requires a licence from FICORA, unless the equipment is separately exempted from licensing. FICORA charges an annual frequency fee for the licence. Licences are only granted to equipment conforming to requirements.

For more information on applying for radio licences and on licence fees, please see the section on radio licences. The section provides information on radio licences for various user groups. Radio licence application forms are all included in the section Our Services.
