First network meeting of interoperable ticket and payment systems collected views of operators in the field

On 9 March, FICORA organised an open network meeting for operators in the field to discuss the requirements for interoperable information systems required by ticket systems and transport services under the Transport Code.

The Transport Code prepared by the Ministry of Transport and Communications obliges parties maintaining the background-system services to provide open interfaces and collaborate in ensuring the technical interoperability required by travel chains. The aim is to allow offering tickets and travel rights first for road and rail transport, and later shipping and aviation, at one service point.

An open network has been established for operators in the field, and the network held its first meeting at FICORA on 9 March 2017.

To join the network mailing list, please send an email to virpi.liehu(at) Invitations and programmes of the following network meetings will be sent to the mailing list. The next network meeting will be held at FICORA on 10 May 2017.

All materials of the network meetings will be published on the project website.
