700 MHz band auction has begun

Published 24.11.2016

FICORA organises the 700 MHz band auction starting on 24 November at 10.00 (GMT +2). The operating licences in the band are intended for 4G wireless broadband networks.

The aim of the auction is to improve the availability, quality and capacity of wireless broadband connections.

A total of six licences (paired frequency blocks) of five MHz each are auctioned off within the 703–733 and 758–788 MHz bands. The auction is carried out over the internet and all paired frequency blocks are auctioned at the same time. One enterprise, organisation or association may not be granted more than two licences.

FICORA publishes the sum (in EUR) of current winning bids at the end of the final bidding round of each day in the News section under Spectrum auction on FICORA's website.
