Strategy for the National Cyber Security Centre Finland was actively commented

FICORA received from its stakeholders 30 opinions on the strategy for the National Cyber Security Centre Finland (NCSC-FI). The purpose of the strategy was to present the NCSC-FI's operations and its development during the coming years. The NCSC-FI started its operations on 1 January 2014.

According to the opinions, the placement of the NCSC-FI at FICORA was considered good. The providers of opinions wished that the financing and steering model for the NCSC-FI would be included in the strategy. The companies critical to the security of supply mentioned that the service level of CERT services must remain on the previous level, also after the establishment of the NCSC-FI. The providers of opinions wished that the operative cooperation with businesses and international parties would be discussed in more detail. In addition, the opinions suggested that there is a need to clarify the roles and responsibilities between the NCSC-FI and the state's round-the-clock information security activities.

FICORA wishes to thank all organisations who submitted their opinions. The received opinions will be taken into account in the final version of the strategy, which will be published in April 2014.
