Consumers paid 10% less for telecoms services in 2012

According to price indexes based on telecoms service revenue and usage rates, consumers paid 10% less for telecoms services in 2012 compared to the previous year. The general consumer price development has been taken into consideration in the calculations.

The price decrease of mobile voice and message services accelerated and reached 15% whereas consumers spent the same amount of money per subscription on mobile data transfer services as in 2011. However, the general price development of data transfer services continued on a downward trend, because consumers paid an average of 11% less on fixed broadband connections than the year before.
