Crackdown on spam

Spam means mass mailing of e-mail without the consent of the message recipient. In large quantities, spam can disturb the functionality and usability of services. Even a reasonable amount of spam disturbs the user.

According to FICORA's regulation, e-mail service providers must filter e-mail traffic that has been identified as being malicious and threatens the functionality of e-mail services. However, e-mail service providers must ensure that the identification mechanisms it uses compromise the filtering of legitimate e-mail messages as little as possible. Therefore, normal identification mechanisms do not identify and remove all spam, but some end up being sent to customers.

If necessary, several service providers offer additional services for improved spam filtering for the purpose of improving service usability.

E-mail service providers must describe the general principles of filtering incoming e-mail traffic.

For questions or problems related to spam filtering, please contact your own e-mail service provider in the first place.
