Use of radio equipment abroad
Use of radio equipment abroad
You may not be able to use radio equipment abroad, although it has been approved of in the native country, as it might cause interference to other radiocommunication. Countries allocate frequencies differently. The countries may also have their own provisions and restrictions on the use of radio equipment.
Contact the telecommunications administrations in the other countries for information on the use of radio equipment.
Amateur radio stations may be used in countries within the CEPT licensing system
A holder of a valid CEPT amateur radio licence may use his amateur radio station temporarily in countries informing so. The rights are based on the licence class of an amateur station corresponding to the CEPT classification in the other country.
On demand FICORA will send you an official letter in English, with information on your valid licence and passed radio amateur examinations. This will help the radio amateur in licence and competence matters in countries outside the CEPT and HAREC system.Ask for the letter with a free-form e-mail message to the address radiotaajuudet(at)ficora.fi. We charge €30.00 for the letter.
