FICORA steers and monitors the technical functionality of communications networks and services. To ensure that telecom services are effective, FICORA has drafted regulations and guidelines on networks and services - both for normal circumstances and disruptions.

FICORA monitors the functionality of telephone networks

• by inspecting telecom operators; and
• monitoring fault and disturbance situations in fixed and mobile telephone networks.
  

Operators must notify FICORA of significant faults and disruptions in their communications networks and services.
