Connection-specific itemisation

Connection-specific itemisation on request

On request, telecom operators will provide you with a detailed connection-specific itemisation.

A connection-specific itemisation will give you information about

  • the start time of the call;
  • the duration of the call;
  • the type of the call (e.g. voice call, text message, data transmission); and
  • the number to which the call has been made.

Received calls and text messages only appear in the connection-specific itemisation if they are subject to a charge.

The three last numbers of the telephone number are hidden in the connection-specific itemisation given to the subscriber (owner of the subscription). A complete itemisation can be given to the user of the service (holder of the subscription). However, the connection-specific itemisation must not either have any information about free services.

Itemisations usually cost

Telecom operators usually charge for connection-specific itemisations. The sum is often smaller when charged in conjunction with the monthly telephone bill than if ordered at a later time.
Many telecom operators provide free connection-specific itemisations in an electronic form via their websites.

If you have complained about a bill, telecom operators often send a free connection-specific itemisation, or at least they return the sum charged for it if the complaint is justified.
